Robert Aitken is the principal and solicitor director of our law firm.
Robert has extensive experience as a lawyer. Starting his legal career in 1992, Robert has worked as a solicitor for national private law firms, to working as General Counsel, Company Secretary and Company Director of multinational general and life insurance companies and insurance broking companies to now running his own private practice.
He has worked as a lawyer on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney and is excited to be providing legal services and expertise to the Sunshine Coast.
Robert has studied extensively to ensure he knows what he is talking about and advising his clients properly. He holds a number of degrees including a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology, a Master of Laws from the University of Queensland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New England. He has other qualifications also including an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services.
Robert’s well rounded and extensive qualifications mean his clients are being provided with not just legal knowledge, but an understanding of the real world and what is needed to give the best advice for his clients’ relevant circumstances.
Robert has advised companies including from their formation to winding them up. He has been extensively involved in commercial and insurance litigation and has run actions including for multinational companies and governments involving hundreds of millions of dollars and regularly appears in all state and Commonwealth Courts from the Magistrates’, District, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal to the Federal Magistrates, Federal and High Courts.
All our lawyers at Aitken Whyte Lawyers are members of the Queensland Law Society and are admitted to practice as solicitors of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
They also hold practising certificates in the High Court and Federal Court to ensure they can represent you in any court you may find yourself.
Aitken Whyte Lawyers is also a proud supporter of QPILCH, being the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House Incorporated. They are a not-for-profit community based legal organisation that coordinate the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups.
